April 22, 2021. Happy Earth Day! Driving electric is a great way to celebrate this day, and Livingston Energy Group is looking forward to fueling your next trip through New York State’s beautiful Adirondack region.
In celebration of Earth Day 2021, Livingston Energy Group is excited to announce ten new EV charging stations located at The Outlets at Lake George. Voted, “The Most Beautiful Lake In The U.S.,” Lake George’s existence as one of the most popular summertime tourist destinations in New York, its location in the Adirondack State Park, and its watershed status make it a choice location for EV charging stations, presenting a perfect opportunity to discuss the importance of protecting the environment.
While EARTHDAY.ORG’s overall mission is to “diversify, educate, and activate the environmental movement worldwide,” their focus for Earth Day 2021 is on climate literacy. Climate literacy, short for climate science literacy, is an understanding of the human (anthropogenic) impact on climate and climate’s impact on humans. Climate-literate people have an in-depth knowledge of the vital concepts of climate on Earth and recognize both scientifically credible and untrustworthy climate information to discuss climate change in factually based, meaningful, and educational ways, and make well-informed rational decisions about how their actions impact climate.
In addition to climate literacy, climate restoration technologies, reforestation efforts, regenerative agriculture, equity and environmental justice, citizen science, and environmental cleanups are a handful of many climate-related topics, EARTHDAY.ORG is encouraging you to learn about this year.

As nations worldwide continue tackling the daunting number of climate-related issues resulting from human impact on climate, Livingston proudly remains active in efforts to achieve climate goals successfully and responsibly. Livingston is pleased to celebrate Earth Day 2021 by unveiling 10 EV charging stations at the Lake George Outlets!
Transportation is, without a doubt, one of the most significant ways in which human activity negatively impacts the environment. Based on studies conducted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the transportation sector accounted for 29% of total U.S. greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by economic sector in 2019, making it the largest generator of GHG emissions.
While many other sectors contribute substantially to emissions, including industry, agriculture, and the residential and commercial sector (homes and businesses), transportation being the largest makes Livingston Energy Group’s mission and energy efficiency goals even more important. We are consistently working to make all aspects of our business as efficient and resilient as possible because we take our commitment to clean transportation, clean air, and your health seriously.
As we continue to bridge the EV charging infrastructure gap, we want to remind you that aside from increased property values, tourism, and long-term revenue streams, EV chargers present opportunities to improve overall sustainability, measurably reduce carbon emissions, provide a future energy amenity to your community, attract green businesses, invest the local economy, and establish an EV climate-friendly image.
